Temple & Hogsette Law Group is proud to announce that attorneys E. Hood Temple, Alec Hogsette, and Edward Henderson have once again named South Carolina Super Lawyers. The selective list of attorneys, complied each year in Super Lawyers magazine, a division of Thomson Reuters. The list recognizes outstanding lawyers whose careers are built not only on professional achievements, but recognition from their peers.

Less than 5% of South Carolina lawyers are selected by Super Lawyers.

Less than 2.5% of South Carolina lawyers under the age of 40 are selected as Rising Stars.

The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.

The objective of Super Lawyers is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and consumers searching for legal counsel. The result is a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.

Attorney E. Hood Temple was recognized on the 2025 South Carolina Super Lawyers list for the third consecutive year . Attorneys Alec Hogsette and Edward Henderson were recognized on the 2025 Super Lawyers Rising Stars list (their third and second consecutive year, respectively) . Hood, Alec and Edward are all civil personal injury attorneys.

Lawyers cannot nominate themselves and are prohibited from campaigning to be included as a Super Lawyer

A judge who reviewed the Super Lawyers selection process said the following:

“It is absolutely clear from this record that [Super Lawyers does] not permit a lawyer to buy one’s way onto the list, nor is there any requirement for the purchase of any product for inclusion in the lists or any quid pro quo of any kind or nature associated with the evaluation and listing of an attorney or in the subsequent advertising of one’s inclusion in the lists.”
